Kings Fall To Blues 4-2

The Los Angeles Kings fell short against the St. Louis Blues 4-2 on Monday night. Los Angeles closes the first month of the season with a 9-2-1 record.
The offense got started in the second period when Vladimir Tarasenko scored a wrist shot goal. His goal was assisted by Jaden Schwartz. Later in the period, Schwartz scored a goal of his own. It was assisted by Brayden Schenn and Tarasenko.
Tanner Pearson got the Kings on the board with a backhanded goal that was assisted by Alec Martinez that trimmed the lead to 2-1. Carl Gunnarsson added to the flurry in the second period with a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Scottie Upshall and Kyle Brodziak.
Dustin Brown capped the period off with a goal that was assisted by Drew Doughty and Anze Kopitar. Vladimir Sobotka scored an empty net goal to end the game but it was a night to remember for Schwartz who had a goal and an assist in his first game since the birth of his daughter.
