Angels Hire Eric Hinske As Hitting Coach

According to Bill Shakin of the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have hired former major leaguer Eric Hinske as the hitting coach.

Jeff Fletcher of the Orange Register also reported the news.

Hinske is a former 17th round pick in the 1998 MLB Draft. He spent time with the Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, Tampa Bay Rays, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves throughout his career.
He has spent the last several years in the coaching ranks including time as a scout and first base coach with the Yankees, and Cubs.
