- Updated: October 23, 2017
Make it three-straight wins for the Los Angeles Chargers, after a 21-0 win over the Denver Broncos.
The Denver Broncos were held scoreless for the first time in 25 years, breaking the longest streak in NFL history. The win also reduced the lead of the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West.
Travis Benjamin had the biggest impact on the outcome of this game, scoring twice on 65-yard, punt return in the first quarter.
Benjamin also scored on a 42-yard bomb from Philip Rivers in the fourth to seal the win for the Chargers.
Los Angeles’ defense capitalized on three Denver turnovers, including five sack on Denver Quarterback Trevor Siemian and forcing an interception.
BOLT NOTES:
Los Angeles’ defense was able to hold the Broncos under 100-yards. Both Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler gained 38 yards rushing. Rivers had a decent game, 15-26 for 183 yards and two touchdowns, which included a one-yard toss Ekeler in the second quarter.
NEXT UP FOR THE CHARGERS:
The Chargers (3-4) will travel to the East Coast to take on the Champion New England Patriots. This game will be another tough task for Los Angeles, as they will try to push their winning streak to four.
