- Updated: October 5, 2017
The Anaheim Ducks will open the season at home against the Arizona Coyotes tonight as the club looks to extend its playoff streak to nine in a row. Anaheim has won five consecutive Pacific Divison Titles and look to continue that streak as well.
For the Yotes Oliver Ekman-Larsson will be on the ice. He is dealing with a knee injury that he was dealing with through the preseason. Jacob Chychrun will start the year on the IR. He is dealing with a knee injury as well.
For Anaheim Ryan Getzlaf is dealing with a lower-body injury but practiced yesterday. It is unknown if he will give it a go or not tonight.
Ryan Miller will start the year on the injured reserve along with Patrick Eaves. Hockey is back and Anaheim is ready to rock and roll.
Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reported the news.
