San Diego Padres Blank Colorado Rockies 3-0

The San Diego Padres blanked the Colorado Rockies 3-0 on Thursday night. For the Padres they handed the Rockies their fourth straight loss.
Clayton Richard got the start. He pitched 7.1 innings allowing 7 hits and 0 runs. He walked 1 and struck out 8 as he picked up his 8th win of the year.
On the other side Tyler Anderson got the start. He pitched 5.2 innings allowing 6 hits and 3 runs. He walked 1 and struck out 6 as he picked up his 6th loss of the year.
The offense got started in the 5th inning when Christian Vilanueva hit his 2nd home run of the year. In the 6th inning Hunter Renfroe hit a sac fly that brought in Manuel Margot. Vilanueva hit a RBI single that brought in Wil Myers and San Diego held a 3-0 advantage.
Brad Hand came on in the 9th inning and struck out the side and picked up his 20th win of the year. San Diego will take on the Rockies tonight at 7:10 p.m. PST
