Indians Beat Angels, Continue Strong Play

The Cleveland Indians used a two-run home run from Francisco Lindor to beat the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 6-5 on Wednesday night. Anaheim has now loss 3 in a row.
For Cleveland Josh Tomlin got the start. He pitched 5.1 innings allowing 7 hits and 2 runs. He walked 0 and struck out 5 as he picked up a no decision for his efforts.
On the other side Ricky Nolasco got the start. He pitched 5 innings allowing 5 hits and 2 runs. He walked 3 and struck out 4 as he was awarded with a no decision.
The offense got started in the 2nd inning when Jason Kipnis hit a RBI double that brought in Carlos Santana. In the 2nd inning C.J. Cron hit a RBI single that brought in Kole Calhoun and the Angels tied the game at 1-1.
In the 4th inning Giovanny Urshela hit a RBI double that brought in Jay Bruce. Cron hit a solo shot in the 5th inning to tie the score at 2 a piece.
Lindor hit a 2-run shot in the 7th inning and Edwin Encarnacion followed with a RBI single that brought in Austin Jackson and the Indians held a 5-2 advantage.
Brandon Philips hit a RBI double that bright in Ben Revere. Mike Trout followed with a RBI double of his own to trim the lead. It was Jose Ramirez that hit a RBI single to push the lead to 6-4. Albert Pujols hit a solo and the Bryan Shaw picked up his 3rd save of the year.
