Cousins Leds Washington Past Rams 27-20

Kirk Cousins led the Washington Redskins over the Los Angeles Rams 27-20 on Sunday night. Los Angeles drops to 1-1 on the season with the loss.
The offense got started in the first quarter for the Redskins when Dustin Hopkins hit a 41-yard field goal. This gave Washington an early 3-0 lead.
In the second quarter Chris Thompson rushed for a 7-yard touchdown that pushed the lead to 10-0. Hopkins hit a 22-yard field goal that put Washington up 13-0.
Los Angeles got on the board when Todd Gurley rushed up the middle for a 1-yard touchdown. Greg Zuerlein followed with a 32-yard field goal that trimmed the lead to 13-10.
At the end of the quarter Thompson broke one open for 61 yards and half-time the Redskins led 20-10. Jared Goff connected with Gurley for a 18 yard touchdown in the 3rd quarter.
Zuerlein hit a 40-yard field goal at the beginning of the 4th quarter that tied the score at 20 apiece. Cousins connected with Ryan Grant for the game winning 11-yard touchdown that lifted the Redskins over the Rams 27-20.
