Dodgers Snap Losing Streak, Beat Giants 5-3

The Los Angeles Dodgers used a big 4th inning to beat the San Francisco Giants 5-3 on Tuesday night. Los Angeles snapped an 11-game losing with the victory.

Clayton Kershaw got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 8 hits and 2 runs, 1 earned. He walked 1 and struck out 6 and picked up his 17th win of the year.

On the other side Johnny Cueto got the start. He pitched 3.2 innings allowing 6 hits and 4 runs. He walked 4 and struck out 8 as he picked up his 8th loss of the year.

The offense got started in the 3rd inning when Kelby Tomlinson hit a solo shot to left center field. In the 4th inning Chase Utley hit a solo home run to tie the game. Corey Seager hit a sacrifice fly that brought in Kershaw, Yasiel Puig followed with a RBI double that brought Chris Taylor and Cody Bellinger and gave the Dodgers a 4-1 lead.

In the 6th inning Orlando Calixte hit a sacrifice fly that brought in Hunter Pence. Pence reached on an fielder’s choice that brought in Denard Span.

Justin Turner hit a RBI double to push the Dodger lead to 5-3. Kenley Jansen came on and struck out 3 in 1.1 innings of work. He picked up his 37th save of the year.
