Nate Robinson A Potential For The Clippers?
- Updated: January 14, 2015
It all started with a trade of Jameer Nelson, of the Boston Celtics, and Nate Robinson, of the Denver Nuggets. But it doesn’t stop there.
According to league sources, the Celtics are going to look to negotiate a buyout of Robinson’s contract and waive him right away.
Nate Robinson’s camp expects him to be bought out by Boston. A reunion w/ Clippers’ Doc Rivers is definitely in the cards, but not for sure.

Sam Amick mentions the potential of a Clippers move for Robinson and it seems to be plausible. Reports are surfacing that suggest if Robinson clears waivers, the Clippers will resume their talks with the player and make a deal.
Robinson has been struggling so far this season after tearing his ACL last season. He is averaging career lows in points and field goal percentage at 5.8 points and 35% from the field.
Robinson and Doc Rivers have a strong relationship as they worked together in Boston back in 2009 and 2010. The ultra competitive guard could provide some depth at the point guard position.
