Padres Drop Dodgers 6-4

The San Diego Padres beat the Los Angeles Dodgers to complete the 3-1 series victory. For the Padres they have now won 3 in a row.

For San Diego Jhoulys Chacin got the start. He pitched 7 innings allowing 5 hits and 3 runs, 2 of them earned. He walked 0 and struck out 8 has he picked up his 12th win of the year.

On the other side Alex Wood got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 7 hits and 4 runs. He walked 3 and struck out 7 has he picked up his 2nd loss of the year.

The offense got started in the first inning when Jose Pirela scored on a wild pitch. Chris Taylor tied the score at 1-1 with a solo shot in the 4th inning. Justin Turner followed with a RBI double that brought in Curtis Granderson and the Dodgers led 2-1.

In the bottom of the 4th inning Eric Aybar hit a 2-run shot that brought in Matt Szczur. Pirela hit a solo shot of his own in the 5th inning to push the lead to 4-2.

Yasmani Grandal hit a sac fly in the 7th inning that brought in Cody Bellinger. Wil Myers answered back with a 2-run single that brought in Manuel Margot and Carlos Asuaje.

Bellinger hit his 36 homer of the season to break the Dodger rookie record set by Mike Piazza. Brad Hand picked up his 15th save of the year.
