Padres Use Big 4th Inning To Beat Giants

The San Diego Padres used a big 4th inning to beat the San Fransisco Giants 6-3 on Tuesday night. San Diego snapped their 4-game losing streak with the win.

Luis Perdomo got the start for the Padres. He pitched 6 innings allowing 1 run and 7 hits. He walked 2 and struck out 3 and picked up his 7th win of the year.

On the other side Matt Moore got the start. He pitched 5 innings allowing 8 hits and 5 runs. He walked 1 and struck out 2 and picked up his 13th loss of the year.

The offense got started in the 2nd inning when Moore hit a bunt single that brought in Joe Panik. Denard Span followed with a RBI double that brought in Nick Hundley and the Giants led 2-0.

Corey Spangenberg reached on a infield single that brought in Wil Myers in the bottom of the 2 inning. Jabari Blash hit a solo home run to tie the game at 2-2.

Manuel Margot hit a 3-run shot later in the inning that brought in Austin Hedges as well as Perdomo. Carlos Asiaje hit a RBI single in the 6th inning to extend the lead to 6-2. Panik hit a solo home run of his own in the 8th inning to cut the deficit to 6-3. Brad Hand come on in the 9th and picked up his 13th save of the year.
