Nelson’s Strong Start Beats Dodgers 3-2

Jimmy Nelson had a strong performance the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 on Sunday afternoon. For Los Angeles this was their first series loss since early June.
Yu Darvish got the start for the Dodgers. He pitched 5 innings allowing 6 hits and 3 runs. He walked 3 and struck out 7. He picked up his 10th loss of the year.
On the other side Nelson was brilliant. He pitched 6.2 innings allowing 4 hits and 2 runs. He walked 2 and struck out 6 as he picked up his 10th win of the year.
The offense started in the in the 1st inning when Travis Shaw reached on a fielder’s choice and Eric Sogard scored. Hernan Perez hit solo shot in the 3rd inning and Domingo Santana hit a RBI single that brought in Neil Walker and Brewers held a 3-0 advantage.
In he 6th inning Corey Seager hit a RBI single to left center that brought in Chase Utley. Justin Turner followed with a RBI double that brought in Seager.
Corey Knebel came on in the 9th inning and struck out 2 batters to pick up his 29th save of the year.
Up next the Dodgers will take not he Arizona Diamondbacks at 6:40 p.m. PST. Rich Hill and Zack Godley are the projected starters.
