Angels Rally To Beat Mariners 6-5

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim rallied from a 4 run deficit to beat the Seattle Mariners 6-5 on Friday night. Anaheim continues to keep their name in the wild card race.
For the Angels Ricky Nolasco got the start. He pitched 5 innings allowing 7 hits and 5 runs. He walked 1 and struck out 3 as he was awarded a no decision for his efforts.
On the other side Marco Gonzales got the start. He pitched 4.1 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 run.
The offense got started in the 2nd inning when Jefry Marte hit a solo shot. Nelson Cruz hit his own solo shot in the bottom of the inning to tie the score at 1 apiece.
Mike Zunino hit a two run shot in the 5th inning that brought in Jarrod Dyson. This gave Seattle a 3-1 lead.
In the 6th inning Cruz hit a RBI double that brought in Robinson Cano. Dyson followed with a RBI single and pushed the lead to 5-1.
Albert Pujols hit a 2-run single that brought in Martin Maldonado and Cameron Maybin in the 7th inning. C.J. Cron followed with a RBI single that brought in Mike Trout. Andrelton Simmons followed with a RBI single of his own to tie the score at 5-5.
In the 9th inning Trout was able to score on a fielding error. Yusmeiro Petit came on in the 9th inning and picked up his second save of the year.
