According to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim third basemen Yunel Escobar is out two to three weeks with a mild oblique strain.

The official Twitter account of the Los Angeles Angels also reported the news.

So far this season Escobar is hitting .274 with 7 homers and 31 RBI’s. He has played in 89 games and has recorded 96 hits. Anaheim will look to fill the void with Luis Valbuena in that spot for the time being.
