Lamb’s Grand Slam Beats Dodgers 6-3

Jake Lamb hit a grand slam in the 7th inning to give the Arizona Diamondbacks a 6-3 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday. For the Dodgers it was one of their rare losses over the last two months.
For Los Angeles Kenta Madea got the start. He pitched 5 innings allowing 1 run while striking out 6. He walked 1 and was awarded a no decision for his efforts.
On the other side Zack Godley got the start. He pitched 6.2 innings allowing 8 hits and 3 runs. He walked 1 and struck out 5 as he was also awarded a no decision.
The offense got started in the 4th inning with Justin Turner hit a solo shot to left centerfield. Logan Forsythe followed with a RBI single that scored Cody Bellinger and the Dodgers held a 2-0 advantage.
In the 5th inning Chris Iannetta hit a solo shot. Turner hit his second homer of the game in the 6th inning to push the Dodger lead to 3-1.
Lamb hit a solo shot in the 6th inning that cut the lead to 3-2. Lamb hit a grand slam in the 7th that brought in Iannetta, Adam Rosales, and A.J. Pollock.
Fernando Rodney came on in the 9th inning snd struck out 2 and picked up his 26th save of the year.
These two clubs will continue their series tonight at 6:40 p.m. PST. Alex Wood and Zack Greinke are the projected starters.
