Angels Fall To Indians 2-1

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim fell to the Cleveland Indians 2-1 on Thursday afternoon. For Cleveland they have now won seven in a row.

For Cleveland Trevor Bauer got the start. He pitched 8 innings allowing 7 hits and 1 run. He struck out 6 batters and picked up his 9th win of the year.

On the other side JC Ramirez got the start. He pitched 6.2 innings allowing 5 hits and 2 runs. He walked 6 and struck out 4. He picked up his 9th loss of the season.

The offense got started in the 2nd inning for the Tribe. Carlos Santana hit a solo home run to centerfield. For Santana it was his 13th homer of the year.

In the 5th inning C.J. Cron hit a RBI single that brought in Kole Calhoun that tied the score. Francisco Lindor hit the go ahead RBI single in the 7th inning to bring in Brandon Guyer and gave the Tribe a 2-1 advantage.

Cody Allen came on in the 9th inning and struck out 2 batters and picked up his 18th save of the year.

Anaheim will start their series with the Toronto Blue Jays tonight a 4:07 p.m. PST. Parker Bridwell and J.A. Happ are the projected starters.
