Washington Nationals Beat Angles 4-3

The Washington Nationals used a superstar effort from Bryce Harper to beat the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 4-3 on Tuesday night. For the Halos they have loss three of their last four games.
For the Nationals Edwin Jackson got the start. He pitched 7 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 runs. He struck out 3 and picked up his 1st win of the season for his efforts.
On the other side Jesse Chavez got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 8 hits and 2 runs. He struck out 5 and was awarded a no decision for his efforts.
The offense got started in the first inning when Harper hit a solo homer. It was Harper’s 24th of the year and gave the Nats an early 1-0 lead.
Mike Trout answered back with a solo home run himself in the bottom half of the inning. His bomb tied the game and was his 17th of the year.
Martin Maldonado hit a solo home run to left in the 6th inning to give the Halos a 2-1 lead. Anthony Rendon answered back with a solo shot in the 7th inning to tie the score at 2 apiece.
Ryan Zimmerman hit a RBI single in the 8th inning to give the Nationals the lead again. Adam Lind hit a solo home run to center in the 9th to push the lead to 4-2.
Trout hit a groundout to short that brought in Ben Revere but it was not enough to complete the comeback and the Angels fell 4-3. These two clubs will wrap up the series tonight a 7:08 PST on ESPN.
Gio Gonzalez and Alex Meyer are the projected starters.
