According to Jon Rosen of lakingsinsider.com the Los Angeles Kings have place Tanner Pearson on the injury reserve with a fractured left fibula.

Pearson suffer the injury in 5-4 shootout loss to the Winnipeg Jets. Pearson had been selected to participate in the rookie skills competition during All-Star weekend slated to start next weekend but that looks like that is out of the question.

As soon as Pearson suffered the injury many Kings were nervous that he could be out for an extended amount of time and looks like those nerves may come into fruition.

With Tanner Person hitting the injury reserve the Kings have called up AHL All-Star Nick Shore. Mike Chambers, a Denver Post beat writer congulated Shore on Twitter.

The Kings will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs at home today as they look to end their losing streak. We wish for a fast and speedy recovery for Pearson. Next man up Nick Shore it’s your time to prove you belong in the big leagues.
