Black was waived by the Lakers in order to create some salary cap space. He spent time with the Rockets and Lakers throughout his career. For the last three seasons with the Lakers he has played some valuable minutes.
He played in 67 games and started in 16 of them averaging 5.7 points and 5.1 rebounds. He shot 51% from the field and was a solid option for Los Angeles in a backup role. With the additions of Brook Lopez and Ivica Zubac, Black was the odd man out.
