- Updated: June 22, 2017
Excited yet Clippers fans?
After what was looking like a boring draft night for Clippers fans the team makes two trades in quick succession.
After moving into the second round and acquiring Juwan Evans at 39, they make another trade and take South Carolina standout Sindarius Thornwell at 48.
Sources: Clippers are acquiring Sindarius Thornwell from Milwaukee with the No. 48 overall pick in the NBA Draft.

Thornwell is a great addition to the Clippers wing and can provide an immediate impact. Considered one of the best players in this past season’s March Madness, Thornwell measured in at just under 6’5″ with a wingspan of 6’10”.
After a playing four years at South Carolina, the former Gamecock had a standout senior season that saw him averaging 21.4 points to go with 2.1 steals per game. Shooting 39% from three in his senior season, Thornwell brings a deep ball threat to his game. A great scorer to go with solid defensive play is exactly what the Clippers have been looking for on the wing.
While he is almost 23 years old and that doesn’t allow him as much room to develop as some other prospects in the draft, Thornwell is a guy Los Angeles can plug and play almost immediately.
