Moments before the Philadelphia 76ers made their selection for the 39th pick in this year’s NBA draft the Los Angeles Clippers decided to throw their hat into the ring despite having no selections.
Sources: Clippers are trading for Philadelphia’s No. 39 selection and taking Juwan Evans.

Juwan Evans, an Oklahoma State product left the Cowboys after his sophomore season. Coming in at just under 6 feet, the point guard boasted a strong 19 points and 6.5 assists per game in his final year in Stillwater.
Scoring is something Evans will be able to bring immediately off the bench. However his defensive game leaves something to be desired. Lucky for Evans he has a 6’4″ wingspan and will be playing for a coach in Doc Rivers that has been known to coach players up on the defensive end.
With Los Angeles needing some depth at the guard position, Evans should be a good addition and Clippers fans can only hope he receives more playing time than some former second round picks the team has made in the Rivers era.
