Angels Snap Royals Six Game Win Streak

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim used three home runs to beat the Kansas City Royals by a score of 9-0 on Saturday night. With the win the Angels improved to 36-36 on the year.
The offense got started in the first inning when Cameron Maybin hit a solo home run. This gave the Halos a early 1-0 lead.
In the fourth inning Danny Espinosa hit a RBI single to center field that brought in Luis Valbuena and Simmons. In the fifth inning Albert Pujols hit a two run home run that brought in Kole Calhoun and pushed the lead to 5-0.
It was Kalhoun in the seventh inning that grounded out to first and brought in a run. Valbuena hit a three run shot later in the inning that gave the Halos the 9-0 advantage.
Anaheim and the Royals will continue their series on Father’s Day at 12:37 p.m. Jason Vargas (9-3) will square off against J.C. Ramirez (6-4).
