Tigers Blank Angels 4-0

The Detroit Tigers blanked the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim by a score of 4-0 on Wednesday night. Anaheim has now loss two out of their last three games.
For the Tigers Buck Farmer got the start. He pitched 6.2 innings allowing just three hits, one walk, and struck out 5.
On the Angels side Alex Myer got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 3 hits and 1 unearned run while walking four and striking out nine. He picked up his third loss of the season.
The offense got started in the third inning for the Tigers. J.D. Martinez grounded into a double play that brought in Alex Aliva and gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead.
In the eighth inning Justin Upton hit a three run home run. It was his 12th home run of the year brought in Dixon Machado and Martinez. The Tiger went on to win by a score of 4-0.
Anaheim and the Tigers will continue the series today at 11:10 a.m. PST. JC Ramirez and Michael Fulmer are the projected starters.
