Angels Beat Tigers 5-3

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim used home runs from C.J. Cron and Kole Calhoun to beat the Detroit Tigers 5-3 on Tuesday night. For Anaheim they have won two out of their last three games.
On the other side Daniel Norris got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 5 hits and 4 runs, 3 of those runs were earned. He walked 3 while striking out 7 and gave up 2 home runs.
Jesse Chavez started for the Angels. He pitched 5.2 innings allowing 7 hits and 2 runs. He walked 1 and struck out 4 while giving up 1 home run. He picked up his 5th win of the year.
The offense got started in the 1st inning when Calhoun hit is 9th home run of the run. His solo shot gave the Angels and early 1-0 lead.
Cron followed with a 2-run shot in the 4th inning. This extended the lead to 3-0. Calhoun hit a RBI singled in the 5th inning that pushed the lead to 4-0.
Alex Avila hit a solo shot that cut the lead to 4-1. Justin Upton followed with a RBI single of his own. In the 7th inning Calhoun hit a sacrifice fly to right to drive in another run.
J.D. Martinez drove in a run of his own in the 8th inning but the Angels were able to hang on and win by a score of 5-3.
