D.J Short of NBC Sports shared his thoughts on the news.
The Angels’ handling of C.J. Cron is pretty confusing. Had a .792 OPS (115 OPS+) last season.

Cron is a former first round pick of the Angels in the 2011 MLB Draft. He has spent his entire four year career with the club.
So far this season Cron is hitting a career low .232. He has one homerun and eight RBI’s on the campaign. Anaheim is looking for more consistency at the first base position is hoping that the move will help them in the near future.
