New York Mets Blank Los Angeles Angels, 3-0

@MBrownstein89

The New York Mets ended their season-high seven-game losing streak with a 3-0 win over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Mets starter Jacob deGrom (W,3-1) tossed seven innings, striking out nine Halos allowing only four hits.

Luis Valbuena and Danny Espinosa both struck out the times as the Halos were sat down twelve times by the strike out.

Andrelton Simmons and Mike Trout were the lucky Angels in the lineup last night, they both managed to lead the team in hits, with two each.

HALO DUGOUT:

Anaheim was totally baffled by deGrom in the first game of their Interleague series opener with the Mets. The team should bounce back to improve in the second game of the series.

NEXT UP FOR THE HALOS:

The Angels (22-22) will try to get even in game two of their three-game set against the Mets in Queens. Alex Meyer
(2-1, 5.59 ERA) will start for the Halos. New York will send Zach Wheeler (2-2, 3.76 ERA) to the mound.

Anaheim looks to turn the corner in their next game.
