Clippers Blow Fourth Quarter, Lose To Kings 98-97

The Los Angeles Clippers (44-31) blew a 18 point lead against the Sacramento Kings (28-45) on Sunday afternoon and loss 98-97. Willie Cauley-Stein scored the game winning layup for Sacramento.

DeAndre Jordan led the way in scoring for Los Angeles with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Chris Paul chipped in 17 points and 9 assists. Blake Griffin scored 17 points, and Austin Rivers added 10 points as well.

On the other side Darren Collison led the Kings in scoring with 19 points. Buddy Hield chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Cauley-Stein ended his night wit 8 points and 14 rebounds. Anthony Tolliver and Giorgios Papagiannis reached double figures off the bench with 15 points and 12 points respectively.

Los Angeles looked to have the game in hand entering the fourth quarter. Sacramento refused to give in and wound up being in it at the end to steal a road victory.  J.J. Redick missed last night’s contest due to an injury.

Los Angeles will take on John Wall and the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night at the Staples Center.
