Ducks Win Important Game Over Sharks

The Anaheim Ducks won a important game over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night 2-1. With the win the Ducks improved their record to 38-23-11 on the year.
Anaheim got on the board first with a goal from Patrick Eaves. He scored a snap shot goal within the first 39 seconds of the game that was assisted by Ryan Getzlaf and Rickard Rakell.
Late in the period Logan Couture tied the game with a snap shot goal himself that put San Jose on the board. Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau were credited with the assists.
In the second period Jakob Silfverberg scored the go ahead goal that ended up being the game winner. Jonathan Bernier recorded 33 saves for a 97% save percentage. Martin Jones recorded 25 saves for a 93% save percentage.
San Jose out shot the Ducks throughout the night but could not capitalize on their opportunities.
Anaheim will get a couple days off before they take on the Edmonton Oilers at the Honda Center on Wednesday night.
