Lakers Lose To Spurs, 119-98

In the second game after the All-Star break, the Los Angeles Lakers made an effort but fell short against the San Antonio Spurs, 119-98.

The team had to make several adjustments since the break which including filling the void left by Lou Williams. Brandon Ingram stepped up his game in this contest with 22 points to lead the team in scoring. Jordan Clarkson added 19 points to lead Los Angeles bench players. Spurs All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard led all players with 25 points, in 26 minutes played.

The two newest Los Angeles players contributed off the bench. Both Corey Brewer and Tyler Ennis scored 5 points in 13 and 5 minutes, respectively.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS FOR THE LAKERS:

Los Angeles had decent numbers, but the Spurs showed why they are one of the superior teams in the league. Los Angeles made more mistakes and turned over the ball 19 times as opposed to the Spurs 12 times.

NEXT UP FOR THE LAKERS:

Los Angeles (19-41) will remain at home to take on Kemba Walker and the Charlotte Hornets, on Tuesday night, from the Staples Center. The team now has dropped the first two games back from the break.
