Johnson is a former 9th round pick of 2012 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox. He spent the 2015 with the White Sox before joining the Dodgers in 2016.
In 2015 Johnson appeared in 36 games and hit .230. He recorded 23 hits and 4 RBI’s that season. Johnson will provide depth for the Braves and should help them as they look to rebuild in the 2017 season.
With the move Los Angeles looks to free up a roster spot.
