Clippers Escape Magic 105-96
- Updated: January 11, 2017
Coming in on a 4-game winning streak your Los Angeles Clippers (27-14) took on the inconsistent Orlando Magic (16-24) Wednesday night.
Coming off a loss to the Lakers in Staples Center Monday the Magic were trying to get going early and it was Aaron Gordon that would do just that. Scorching the Clippers for 16 points in just the first quarter and finishing with a solid 28 on the night.
After losing the first the Clippers would battle back in quarter number two as Chris Paul got the ball rolling.

With moves like that one, some casual lobs to DeAndre Jordan and perfectly placed passes to JJ Redick Paul got Los Angeles back on track. He ended this game with 18 points, 6 assists, 7 rebounds and 4 steals in what ended up being a stellar performance for the “Point God”.
It would be Redick that lit the game up when his team needed it. He knocked in some clutch shots as the game winded down and ended up with 22 points leading all Clippers. Redick wasn’t the only one heating up in the clutch for the Clippers in this one. Mo Speights was dropping buckets hitting 3 of 4 three point shots and sinking home 13 points, most of which came in the final quarter.
The buckets didn’t come as easy for everybody with Clippers across their chest though. Jordan only had 10 points but found another way to help his team by snatching 20 rebounds and sending away 3 blocks.
In the end Los Angeles was just the more talented team and escaped with a 105-96 win despite turning the ball over 21 times.
No doubt a win is a win though and the Clippers will take this 5 game winning streak into their matchup with the in-house rival Lakers Saturday at 12:30 PM PST.
