Lakers Lose In Brooklyn, 107-97

@LakersNation

The Los Angeles Lakers have now lost eight-straight games, the latest was a 107-97 defeat to the Brooklyn Nets.

The team battled the Nets down the stretch but fell short at the end for another loss. Both teams have now split their two meetings of the season on their home hardwood.

Once again Lou Williams led the team in scoring with 16 points. Nick Young added 14 points in his third game back from injury. He also turned in the most comical moment of the night, when he double-clutched an attempt of a
free-throw earlier in this game. Coach Luke Walton managed to make through the whole game. On Monday Coach Walton was ejected and fined $15,000 dollars for arguing with the refs and not leaving the court in a timely matter.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS FOR THE LAKERS:

Both teams played one of the ugliest games of the season.
The Lakers shot only 38.5 from the floor, the Nets did not fair better they shot 38.4. Looking on the bright side, the Lakers outrebounded the Nets 61-49 and only turnover the ball 10 times.

NEXT UP FOR THE LAKERS:

Los Angeles (10-18) will travel to Philadelphia for the first time without Kobe Bryant to take on the 76ers. The team will try to end this streak against the worst team in the Eastern Conference.
