Angels Acquire Brooks Pounders

According to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have acquired pitcher Brooks Pounders from the Kansas City Royals.
#Angels acquire RHP Brooks Pounders, 26, from KC for Class A RHP Jared Ruxer. Pounders: 3.25 at AAA last year (31 G), 9.24 ERA at KC (13 G).

Pounders is a former second round pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2009 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut this season with the Royals.
This season with the Royals he posted a 2-1 record with a 9.24 ERA in 13 games. He has shown promise in the minors and will continue to develop as time goes on.
