Clippers Smash Cavs To Snap Skid 113-94

Clippers

Coming in on a 3-game losing streak your Los Angeles Clippers (15-5) were looking to right the ship in Cleveland Thursday night as they took on the reigning champion Cavaliers (13-4).

It’s very easy to tell how a night will play out for the Clippers these days. If J.J. Redick is knocking down shots early, things are looking up. This was another one of those hot starts for the shooter and it wasn’t just early on. Redick kept his hot start going for the whole first half dropping in 21 points. He would finish the night with 25, but his quick starts this season have put him in elite territory.

It wasn’t a hot shooting night for all the Clippers though. Blake Griffin was only able to manage a meager 13 points in the contest but it was what he did with his vision that impressed.

On the night Griffin ended with those 11 assists. The Cavaliers entire starting lineup had just 8.

A matchup that mattered much more tonight than many thought was Luc Mbah a Moute against LeBron James. Luc isn’t a volume shooter, he isn’t a high-flyer and he certainly isn’t a dime-dropper. Luc is a defender, and he played that role perfectly once more Thursday. Frustrating James with 5 steals while only allowing the future hall of famer to drop 16 points, a season-low.

The Clippers coasted to a 113-94 victory at Quicken Loans Arena snapping their 3 game skid.

For the last matchup of this 6-game road trip the Clippers will head to New Orleans to face the Pelicans tomorrow night at 5 PM PST.

A very impressive win for the Clippers all around as everything clicked for the team in this contest. Thanks for reading along Clipper Nation, here’s to another great result.
