Raptors Beat Lakers, 113-80

The Los Angeles Lakers were over-matched in a very in their contest with the Toronto Raptors, as they were beaten 113-80.

The numbers were not in the Lakers favor, as the team was able to gain any momentum or catch any breaks. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the team really struggled in several offensive categories.

Rookie Brandon Ingram led the team in scoring with 17 points, Jordan Clarkson came off the bench to contribute with 14 points. Lou Williams added 13 points to give the team the only players that scored in double figures.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS FOR THE LAKERS:

When the Elias Sports Bureau noticed that the Los Angeles shot under 35% (34.4%) from the field, less than 60% (58.8%) from the free-throw line and committed 16 turnovers for this contest. This was the second time since the 1970-71 season that Los Angeles had these subpar numbers.

NEXT UP FOR THE LAKERS:

The team will head to Memphis to face the very short-handed Grizzlies team. At least three of the Grizzlies stars, Vince Carter, Mike Conley, and Zach Randolph will not be in uniform tonight. Los Angeles (10-11) will try to get back over the .500 mark for the season. The team is currently in third place in the NBA’s Pacific Division.
