Russell the number two selection in the 2015 NBA Draft has played a key role in the Lakers surprising start to the season. So far this season he is averaging 16.2 points per game to go along with 5 assists a night.
Los Angeles will now have to rely on more heavily on guards Lou Williams, Jordan Clarkson, and Jose Calderon to step up in Russell’s absence.
