Prop “C” Is Defeated In San Diego

One of the biggest issues of the 2016 election there was the ballot measures for the city of San Diego. Measure C, the proposition to raise the hotel taxes to finance construction for a new stadium in the downtown area.One of the biggest issues of the 2016 election there was the ballot measures for the city of San Diego.
By an overwhelming mark, this measure was defeated 66%. Another measure was also defeated (Measure D), which would generate money that would build a convention center annex and a stadium, also was turned down and only gained 40% support from the voters. Both measures needed two-thirds of the vote to pass.
Now the San Diego Chargers are faced with another decision to relocate to another city or look for another deal that could keep the team in San Diego. The team is still rumored to be heading to Los Angeles to join the Rams.
