The Los Angeles Kings stormed back and scored 2 goals in the last 3 minutes of the game and beat the Vancouver Canucks 3-2. The Kings ended 2014 with a shootout loss against the Edmonton Oilers, and it looks as if they left that heartbreak in the past.

In tonight’s game the Kings fell behind once again. Alex Burrows scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Daniel Sedin and Radim Vrbata. While the Kings outshot the Canucks 16-8 in the first period it would be the Canucks that walked out the first period leading 1-0.

In second period Radim Vrbata scored a wrist shot goal of his own that was assisted by Chris Higgins and Henrik Sedin. This put the Kings down 2-0 with 16 minutes left in the period. Dwight King put the Kings on the board after he put a wrist shot through the net that was assisted by Mike Richards.

The Kings entered the third period down 2-1 and looked as if they Kings would lose on the road once again. With just under 3 minutes left in the game Justin Williams sent a slap shot past Ryan Miller that brought fans watching to their feet. It looked as if the Kings would be able to at least salvage one point in this game.

However, Jarret Stoll had other plans as he sent a slapshot past Miller in the final 1:30 of the game. His goal made the score 3-2 in the Kings favor as they came back for the victory.

LA Kings faithful know just how hard they play and know that they never give up!

The Kings will now head back home for a long homestand at Staples Center. They will take on the Nashville Predators on Saturday afternoon.
