Ducks Fall To New Jersey 2-1

The Anaheim Ducks struggles continued as they fell to the New Jersey Devils 2-1 on Tuesday night. With the loss the Ducks sit at 0-3-1 on the season.
Sami Vatanen got Anaheim off to a good start in the first period. He scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Corey Perry and Cam Fowler.This goal gave Anaheim a 1-0 lead at the end of the first period.
In the second period Taylor Hall took matters into his own hands. Hall scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Michael Cammalleri and Travis Zajac.
A few minutes later Hall scored his second goal of the night to give the Devils the 2-1 advantage. Damon Severson and Kyle Palmieri were credited with the assist.
For Anaheim John Gibson recorded 26 saves for a .929 save percentage. Cory Schneider record 23 saves for a .958 save percentage.
Anaheim will look for their first win on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center at 4:00 p.m. PST.
Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register shared his thoughts on the start of the season.
And so in the Pacific, Vancouver is 3-0 and Edmonton is 3-1 while Ducks are 0-3-1 and Kings are 0-3-0. Yep. As predicted.
