Chin-hui Tsao On His Way To Los Angeles Dodgers?

The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking into the possibility of signing Chin-hui Tsao who was banished from Taiwan’s league five years ago.
The 33 year-old was dismissed after being accused of conspiring to fix baseball games. Yahoo Sports reports that Tsao agreed to throw two games in exchange for “benefits” from gamblers.
“An investigation reportedly found Tsao had accepted these “benefits” (sex, among them) and was expected to throw those two games during the Chinese Professional Baseball League’s 2009 season. One game was rained out. The other didn’t come off because of lack of support in the locker room. His punishment was limited to expulsion from the league. Presumably he was saved further legal consequences because of his own inability to predict the weather or the competitive temperaments of his teammates.”
The Los Angeles Times recently reported that the Dodgers are “close” to signing Tsao to a minor-league deal and the club has been allowed an cleared to do so by the league. Both of these statements are seemingly true as Yahoo Sports confirmed.
Although Tsao has a sketchy past and has been banned in two leagues, the Dodgers are not the ones who decide who is morally correct and who isn’t. Their only responsibility is to create the best bullpen possible and if they want to do that by including a player with accusations of game fixing, then to each their own.
