Los Angeles Kings Waive Peter Budaj

According to James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail the Los Angeles Kings have placed goalie Peter Budaj on waivers.

Of course, the Kings’ attempt to assign Budaj and Campbell to AHL-Ontario officially confirms that Zatkoff will back up Quick.

Budaj is a former second round pick of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2001 NHL Draft. Rosen shared more of his thoughts on the Budaj situation .
With waivers, timing is important. LA exposed Berube two days before the season last year, lost him. They hope Budaj clears nine days out.
