Kelly is a former second round pick of the Lakers back in the 2013 NBA Draft. In college Kelly, who played at Duke University, played alongside future NBA players Seth Curry, Mason Plumlee, and Quin Cook.
In three seasons with the Lakers Kelly’s best season was his rookie year. In the 2013-2014 season Kelly averaged 8.0 points per game, and shot 42% from the field.
With the addition of Yi Jianlian, who plays a similar style, to Kelly it made Kelly expendable. As more information surfaces on the Lakers and their offseason news we will keep you up to date.
