Angels Hold On To Beat A’s, 10-7

@angels_fanly

What a game! the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim had their hands full in this victory over the Oakland A’s, 10-7.

Oakland starter Raul Alcantara (L,0-1), made his major league debut and three batters in the first inning. Mike Trout, Jefry Marte, and Jett Bandy were victims of that wild first inning.

Alcantara, also managed to pitch wildly to Andrelton Simmons and nearly hitting Albert Pujols. When the dust settled, the Angels took a three-run lead. The team’s lead decreased in the bottom of the inning, as the A’s cut the deficit to one run. The Angels scored again in the next three innings, but the A’s added runs in the fourth and seventh. The Angels added some insurance in the top of the ninth, scoring two more runs to finish off the A’s.

Another rough outing for Jared Weaver, who only pitched four innings allowing five of the A’s seven runs. Mike Trout collected three hits in four at-bats, three Angels players drove in two runs apiece including Albert Pujols (110), who now is tied for the lead in the American League.

HALO’s DUGOUT:

Jose Valdez (W,1-1), picked up the win out of the bullpen, as the team sent five relievers to preserve this win.

ANGELS ON DECK:
