Albert Pujols Battling Foot Injury

According to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles of Anaheim designated hitter Albert Pujols is battling plantar fasciitis in his right foot.
Albert Pujols (plantar fasciiitis in right foot) was limited to 99 games in 2013 because of plantar fasciiitis in left foot. #Angels

Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times also reported the news.

Bill Shaikin reported further details.
Albert Pujols has been playing through plantar fasciitis in his right foot, Mike Scioscia said. No plans to shut down Pujols.

Pujols has been playing through the pain and it has looked to effect him much behind the plate. This season Pujols has hit 26 home runs and drove in 103 RBI’s as he continues to climb the all-time home runs list.
With Anaheim out of the race they may decide to play it safe with the veteran and see how the foot responds to treatment.
