Huston Street To Undergo Season Ending Surgery

According to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim closer Huston Street will undergo season ending knee surgery today.
#Angels: Huston Street will have arthroscopic surgery tomorrow on right knee because of “persistent medial knee pain.” Expected back in ’17.

Pedro Moura of the Times also reported the news.
The Angels announced Huston Street is having arthroscopic surgery on his inflamed right knee tomorrow. It’s expected to be season-ending.

This news comes to no surprise as reports had surfaced as a possible surgery over that last few days. With Street being out it will give the Angels a chance to experiment with some of their younger pitchers out of the pen.
Cam Bedrosian had taken over the closer duties but is currently on the disabled list. Anaheim will continue their series with the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Center tonight at 4:07 p.m. PST.
