Lakers Ink Zach Auguste
- Updated: August 22, 2016
According to Eric Pincus of the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Lakers have signed free agent forward Zach Auguste.
I hear the Lakers have a deal with Zach Auguste, who played for the summer league squad, haven’t gotten word on terms

Auguste played his college ball at Notre Dame for four years. The 6’10” 240 pounder averaged 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Irish last season.
Auguste will try and compete for the Lakers final roster spot with Nick Young‘s future uncertain at the time. Los Angeles does have some good depth at the power forward position.
Julius Randle, Larry Nance Jr., and Yi Jianlian will all get some significant playing time. So if Auguste can make the roster he would most likely be added as some extra insurance in case of injuries.
Los Angeles will get ready for their training camp in the next few weeks.
