Paul Pierce Reportedly Returning to Clippers
- Updated: August 21, 2016
Stay tuned for confirmation on this because, well it is Paul Pierce.
At age 38, Paul Pierce has had many around the league wondering if he will return to basketball for the 2016-17 season, or just retire.
We were supposed to hear from The Truth early in the summer regarding his decision. And yet, here we are.
The Orange County Register is making a bold statement by saying Paul Pierce is “planning” on returning.
“Pierce, an 18-season veteran in the NBA, is planning to return to the Clippers for his 19th season in the league, according to multiple league sources.
Pierce has wavered with his decision for most of the summer, and another change in plans wouldn’t be shocking.”
Did you find where it said he was returning? Well, me neither. Basically he plans to play for the Clippers unless he doesn’t.
Many around the league share the sentiment that Pierce should be playing his final season in Boston, like Kevin Garnett is doing in Minnesota. Will that be the result of all of this at the end of the day?

Why? We don’t need him taking up space. If he wants to join the coaching staff, fine. But he’s not a player who can contribute.
