Coby Karl Named L.A. D-Fenders Head Coach

According to Shams Charmina of the Vertical, the Los Angeles Lakers have hired former player Coby Karl as the head coach of the L.A. D-Fenders.
Sources: Lakers are hiring Coby Karl, son of George Karl, as head coach of the L.A. D-Fenders in D-League. Karl was Westchester assistant.

Karl is the son of NBA coach George Karl. He played his college ball at Boise State and went undrafted. Karl played a few games for the Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavilers, and Golden State Warriors.
Karl played in the D-League before getting into coaching in 2015. Karl spent one year as a assistant with the Westchester Knicks before landing the head job in Los Angeles.
