Mike DiGiovanna of the Times reported that Soto did have another minor injury.

Soto has played sparingly for the club this season. In 26 games he is hitting .269 with four home runs and 9 RBI’s. Soto is a seasoned veteran having played 12 years in the big leagues.
This late in the season and with the Angels out of the playoff hunt the loss of the catcher doesn’t hurt as much as it could of if they were in the race.
