Chargers Officially Place Stevie Johnson On IR

According to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune the San Diego Chargers have placed wide reciever Stevie Johnson on the injury reserve list.

Ricky Henne of Chargers.com spoke to quaterback Philip Rivers about the Steve Johnson news.
Rivers on Stevie Johnson out for year. “It’s tough…Other guys are going to have to step up to fill that void.”

Henne provided further information.

With the injury some of the other Chargers weapons will have to step up. Antonio Gates and Keenan Allen are two of the most lethal weapons Rivers has and now they need to find that third option.
